Pinot’s Palette Webster Groves Artist Help Rescued Stray Animals
Pinot’s Palette Webster Groves announces their involvement in Stray Rescue’s 2015 Urban Wanderers Art Exhibition & Auction. Pinot’s Palette Webster Groves offers painting classes where guests are invited to bring their friends, open a favorite bottle of wine and create a beautiful work of art! One of this studio’s most popular classes is Project Pet in which the artist walks students step-by-step through a painting of their own pet! Now Pinot’s Palette is trying something new! Pinot’s Palette artists will create paintings of 9 rescued animals that have been given a second chance at Stray Rescue. These paintings will be combined with others at the 2015 Urban Wanderers Art Exhibition & Auction. This exhibition will feature works of art including paintings, photographs, and sculpture of abandoned or abused animals who have been given a second chance due to the efforts of Stray Rescue staff. The exhibition will begin with an opening reception at Gallery 400 located at 400 Washington Ave on Friday, July 10th from 5-8pm.Artwork displayed in the exhibition will be available for silent auction by visiting www.blacktie-stlouis.com/auctions. All proceeds from the silent auction will benefit Stray Rescue of St. Louis. The opportunity to create works for this fundraising exhibition is just one more way Pinot’s Palette is giving back to the community through its Painting it Forward program. “When the opportunity presented itself for us as a studio and as individual artist to give back to Stray Rescue, it was an easy decision,” said Joshua Logsdon, owner of Pinot’s Palette Webster Groves. “We believe in giving back to our community and helping to make it a better place. Having our artists donate to this cause to create artwork that will be auctioned off to raise money for the great work done by Stray Rescue in helping give animals a second chance is a great opportunity.” As an owner of 3 rescued dogs (one is Mr. Slay from Stray Rescue) this event is close to the heart of Logsdon. For additional information about private events or classes at Pinot’s Palette, including the next Project Pet class, please email WebsterGroves@PinotsPalette.com or visit http://www.P...ebsterGroves.
