Displaying your Art!
I've done my fair share of Pinot's Palette classes (even prior to working here!) and as you can imagine, I have a lot of paintings that I bring home. There's something special about walking into a room and being surrounded by pieces of your own. For me, the paintings I've done at Pinot's Palette aren't just decor, they're memories with friends and family, art milestones, and in general little reflections of who I was in each of those current moments. This is exactly why I don't want to tuck them away in a closet or stack them in a corner. I want to display them- intentionally and proudly.
As someone who lives in an apartment, I definitely have some limitations when it comes to wall space, which is why I've found my own ways to make the most of what I do have. Utilizing spaces that are often overlooked- like the wall going up the stairs, a narrow hallway, or even that awkward empty corner are key. Each of those places has a great potential to become your own mini gallery of your treasured pieces, turning a forgotten space into something meaningful! It doesn't have to be big or perfectly styled, it just has to feel like you.
By getting intentional with placement and using the overlooked or vertical space more efficiently, no matter what space you are working with- you can make it yours. At the end of the day, it's not about how much space you have- it's about what you choose to fill it with.
