Meet Payton!

I am an acrylic/watercolor painter who loves to incorporate fantasy settings and vibrant colors into my work. I’ve been painting ever since I was little. Art classes throughout elementary, middle and high school were always were I felt most like my authentic self. I have explored various mediums and different arts and crafts. These include a screen printing, embroidery, vinyl work, murals, heat pressing, pottery, collages, wood work and really just anything I can get my hands on. I love trying new things and seeing what I can create. I always go into a painting with a vision of the end result, but things don’t always go as planned. Some ideas may change, my style might look different than I imagined, but I’m always pleased with the result. It’s always a fun surprise when you open your mind to any possibility. I believe art should be an expression of one’s self and an opportunity to be creative. If we all painted the same what would be the fun in it anyways?

I love teaching at a sip and paint studio. It’s always so amazing to be able to inspire people with new ideas and see what they create! It’s also just a great place to unwind, have a couple drinks and meet new people.
