Facts to sound like a local wine maven, from your friend the Wino Sasquatch! At Pinot's Palette we can boast an array of award-winning local wines. Here are some fun facts about a few of our Inland Northwest wines!
Latah Creek Huckleberry Riesling: This is our best seller, if you haven’t tried this light and delicious wine... frankly, what are you doing with your life? Released in 1996 it has been dubbed Spokane’s #1 Wine, and is made by a father daughter team! This wine is made in the Columbia valley from local fruit, that’s right a huckleberry is a fruit not a berry, who knew!?
Barrister Rough Justice: This wine comes from Barrister Winery, a historic spot in downtown Spokane. Two lawyers were the original duo behind the wine’s creation., which explains the name. Barrister Winery won red wine of the year for its 2013 Petit Verdot at the recent Indy International Wine Competition, the largest scientifically organized and independent wine competition in the U.S….and They won gold for Rough Justice (our favorite)!
Townshend Red Blend: Our most popular red wine! This tasty wine is made in Green Bluff, and you can visit their awesome tasting room Friday – Sunday 12-5pm where you will find panoramic views of Mt Spokane. This adds yet another family ran company to our list of wine makers, owned and operated since 1998.
