'Rami's Snow Day' by Candace Rowe
Candace Rowe’s first drawing was with crayons on a neighbor’s wall. She went on to get a Bachelor of Arts in Design Illustration, and continues her watercolor studies with Frederick Brosen. Her artwork has been juried into several national shows and featured in local publications. On snow days, she likes to cuddle in front of a fire with her two little dogs and her husband. They recently renovated a 1910 Craftsman house in Spokane and she lures her grown-up kids home with baked goods. Sometimes Candace’s godson Rami comes to visit and she tries very hard to spoil him rotten. He loves the snow but hates wearing mittens.
