Fairly Creative
The Spokane Fair is one of the more famous and beloved annual events in town! Every year, it brings in millions of dollars to the community and provides tons of fun and great memories for everyone involved! It isn't all fried foods and fast rides, though! There are dozens of art vendors, booths, classes and exhibits to visit. You can even submit your own works for display or awards!
At Pinot's, we typically focus on our reliable acrylic paintings. The art categories at the Fair are far broader than you'd probably imagine, though. Here are some of our favourites!
Beer and Wine: We probably have a slight bias, but we love to see local beers and wines on the scene! Here, people can submit their handcrafted beverage creations for the public to enjoy. What a great showcase for local breweries and wineries, as well as amateur crafters working on a smaller scale!
Marshmallow Catapult: I don't think anything else needs to be said aside from these two words. Can it get anymore epic?
Eggs: Are we surprised that this has its own exhibit category? Yes. Are we mad about it? Not at all.
Fine Arts: This is where you could submit your own painted masterpieces! It's a feast for the eyes and a beautiful collection of creativity!
Baking and Cooking: Art you can eat! Perhaps they can use some of the winners from the Eggs exhibit to showcase their talent?
Sewing: Functional and fabulous--practical art is a display of both skill and vision!
There are a ton other exhibits to check out or enter into, and a ton of booths and vendors to visit. The Fair starts up on September 6th, so don't forget to stop in for some fun and creativity!
