Staff Spotlight: Bryan Enos
Tell us about yourself: I have been an art teacher for over 20 years. I have been married for 20 years with 2 teenage boys and a dog and a cat. I am inspired by creativity and love to entertain.
How long have you worked at Pinot’s Palette? It will be 5 years in October.
Favorite artist: Not to sound too cliché, but Van Gogh has always spoken to me. He’s bold and colorful and his work is compelling.
Favorite Pinot’s Palette memory: It was a seemingly ordinary Pinot’s Palette workday. I led a large class through our painting. We shared the evening together, laughter and music and fun. It was a nice time, but admittedly pretty typical like most days in the studio. After class a woman shared with me that a family tragedy had consumed her life for the past few months. She told me that tonight was the first night she had felt life’s weight lift off her in a while, even laughing a time or two. From that day to this, I try to teach each painting as if it may mean the absolute world to someone. It sure means a lot to me.
Other hobbies besides painting: I like going on trips with my family and seeing new places, experiencing new cultures, and definitely trying new foods.
Favorite Pinot’s painting to teach: I love painting any beach-themed painting - sunrise, sunset, repeat... I think I have saltwater in my blood.
What does being an artist mean to you? Being an artist is my way of expressing how I feel and what I believe. It is about shaping the things around me from what they are to what they could be.
