Van Gogh's Cafe
In 1888 Van Gogh left Paris for the Southeast of France, settling for a time in a place named Arles. There he actually made two paintings about the city’s nightlife culture, and this painting is an ode to his “Café Terrace at Night” which captures the warm summer evenings he spent at the Place du Forum, which still stands to this day.
