Summer Wine Series (Moscato)

Well, with Memorial Day behind us as the unofficial kick-off of Summer, let's talk about summer wines and what makes them great. This week we decided to talk about Moscato. Without a doubt, Moscato is one of the most favorite drinking wines of Summer. Relatively new on the scene, and recently made popular by artists in the R&B and Rap community, Moscato is a slightly sweet and lightly carbonated wine with flavors of nectarines, peaches, and oranges. The combination of the carbonation and flavor profile makes Moscatos a very pleasing and easy to drink wine. It has a low alcohol content which makes it ideal for day-drinking while sitting on the back porch enjoying the Summer temperatures. There are several brands that are selling Moscato in single-serving containers so you don't have to worry about losing the fizz on a full bottle of wine.
