Pop art is a modern art movement that developed in the 50s and 60s, fore-fronted by artists you may have heard of like Warhol, Keith Haring, Lichtenstein, Paolozzi, etc. It draws from literally popular mass culture, such as advertising, comic books, movie posterse, etc. It is an anti-elitist art movement created with a sense of fun and all around silliness! Some key attributes of this movement included the usage of blackened line work (similar to the lines seen in comic books), little to no depth/perspective, and achromatic primitive color palettes. We will be incorporating these elements into our very own pop art selfies! We look forward to seeing you there.
