Sweet mushroom on a bed of greenery in a dark forest.

Nestled below the trees and among the leaves, you’ll find these darling mushrooms waiting to be discovered!
Join us in this unique experience to learn about the importance of fungi in our ecosystems while simultaneously unleashing your inner artist. A portion of your seat will be donated to Camp Joy Outdoor Education Center, a non-profit organization.

We’re proud to partner with Camp Joy non-profit outdoor education center. Since 1936, Camp Joy has been providing life-changing programs for the region's most vulnerable youth. Today, Camp Joy serves roughly 12,000 participants of all ages each year through summer camps, outdoor education, and corporate team building. Their mission is to help people grow and succeed through life-long, experience-based learning.

Registration includes a canvas, paint, brushes, and two hours of top notch instruction from our amazing local artist, Emma. Emma is currently working towards her Masters in Conservation Biology, and wants to extend her research on the convergence of art and science to the Pinot’s Palette community. You’ll be participating in a brief survey to gauge your connection to nature and conservation understanding after engaging in the painting class!

We offer a fully licensed bar where you can purchase a wide variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks to get your creative juices flowing. Not only will you have a blast painting a beautiful work of art to take home, but you'll also be learning about the environment and supporting our efforts to inspire our guests to become better people, influence their community and create a better world. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to Camp Joy to help them continue their important work.

Our studio offers a joyful and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a night out with friends, a date, or just a solo night of self-expression. We provide all the materials you need, so all you have to do is sit back, relax, and let your creativity shine! We can't wait to paint with you!

Frequently Asked Questions

Check out our FAQs to learn more about what to expect from your Pinot's Palette experience or feel free to call the studio to speak to a member of our staff.

  • How do I sign up for a class?

Signing up is easy. Click the "Classes" link on the side of the page to view our calendar of paintings. Select the painting you would like to paint and click "Add Painting to Cart." Follow the on-screen directions to complete your order. Contact us if you have trouble signing up and we will be happy to help. A two hour painting costs $35/person and a three hour painting costs $45/person.

  • When do I need to arrive for class?

Typically we recommend arriving 15 mins in advance. This will give you the chance to get settled, mingle with the other painters and get a drink before we begin class.

  • I don’t have any artistic talent? Will I be able to complete the painting?

Absolutely! Our artist will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will ensure that you stay on track to completing your masterpiece by the end of class. There are no mistakes, but Acrylic paint dries quickly, making mistakes easy to fix and perfect.

  • What days are public classes held?

Classes are held on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and Sunday afternoons and evenings. We also occasionally have classes on other nights during the week – view our class calendar to find out more!

  • What is the cancellation or refund policy for public classes?

Due to the custom nature of our events, refunds are not issued for reservation cancellations. Should you need to reschedule your reservation and provide at least 24 hours notice (5 days notice for reservations with 4 or more guests), your reservation will be transferred to a studio credit that can be used for a future event reservation at our Kenwood studio within the next 60 days. Please email us at kenwood@pinotspalette.com if you need to reschedule. If you 'no-show' for an event that you have a spot reserved, or do not give at least 24 hours notice, you will forfeit your reservation payment. If you can’t make it and it’s less than 24 hours until your event, send a friend in your place! Let us know before the class starts and we'll update the names on your reservation. By purchasing your seats, you confirm agreement with this policy.
