The Winter Blues
Well, we’ve officially reached that point in winter that we all dread. The New Year is in full swing, Christmas is over, and Thanksgiving is nothing more than a distant memory. All there is to do now is stare at the brown tinted snow and hope that spring will come early this year.
If you haven’t done so yet, it is time to take down the Christmas decorations. I did this last week and it felt great. It feels as if a house guest overstayed their welcome and they finally got the hint that it was time to go.
However, after it was all done, my house looked different. It looked bare and boring. This is when I decided it was time to do some more year-round decorating. I have a color scheme that I have used for quite some time so changing this would be expensive and, quite honestly, I don’t have the time nor energy to do a complete overhaul. So, my mission was to liven things up in my home. That’s when it hit me… I knew exactly what I needed to do. I got online and went to http://www.p...m/cda/classes and found a picture that I loved and could change the colors to work for my house and signed up.
A couple days later I went to the class and the painting that I made is proudly displayed in my living room and I am happy to report that the room is more lively now and the painting is also a great conversational piece. If you have a room that is boring or just seems like it is missing something, check out our calendar and see if one of our paintings can help liven up your home, too!
