Undiscovered Talent

As someone that is not an artist, I was unsure of what to expect at my first Pinot’s Palette experience.

I was never particularly creative and never really opened that door to see if I could be. I always told people that I couldn’t draw a stick figure but the truth was that I had just never tried to draw so I assumed I couldn’t.

I have been managing Pinot’s Palette Coeur d’Alene now for a few months and I have realized that I was wrong. I am artistic and somewhat talented at painting! The more I am around the artists and attend the classes, I am finding myself being able to anticipate future steps and even helping other painters with blending and fixing mistakes.

Now I’m not saying that I could teach a class anytime soon, but the point is that just because you have never done something, doesn’t mean that you are bad at it. Doing something new does require some bravery because you are taking the risk that you may indeed not be good at it but without trying, how will you ever know? I have found something that I enjoy and it is completely acceptable and expected that I drink wine while I do it. You, too, can amaze yourself with an untapped talent inside of you.
