You must be at least 18 years old to attend a public class (13 to 17 if accompanied by an adult). Family Day classes are for ages 7+ (7 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult). Due to the nature of our classes, and for the enjoyment of all of our guests, we cannot accommodate babies or toddlers. All guests must have a paid seat and paint their own canvas.
Reservations are not required but are highly recommended in case the class is sold out. We have assigned seating such that if you don't have a reservation but your friends do, you may not be able to sit with them. If you don't have a reservation, please arrive approximately 30 minutes early so we can get you set up and settled in.
A full refund can occur if you cancel at least 48 hours before the class starts. You also have the option to put the reservation on hold for a later date. The reservation can be put on hold to be used for another class if the cancellation is received at least 24 hours before the class starts. Loss of payment will occur for "no shows" or a cancellation with less than 24 hours notice.
The vast majority of our classes are $42 for a 2 hour painting but we do offer Family Day classes (primarily on Saturday afternoons) at $35 per painter and specialty classes for which prices vary. Check our Event Calendar for specific class pricing.
Events in the Boulevard Room require a minimum of 12 paying guests and a maximum of 24 guests for a portrait-oriented painting and 20 for a landscape-oriented painting. Events in the Main Studio require a minimum of 25 guests and a maximum of 48 guests for a portrait-oriented painting and 42 for a landscape-oriented painting.
The organizer of the party will be responsible to make up the difference if a minimum guest count is not met. The payment to cover the minimum will come from the deposit first and, if necessary, an additional charge upon the conclusion of the event.
Deposits for mobile events, corporate events or private parties in the private party room are fully refundable if the event is cancelled with at least 14 days advance notice. Events in the Main Studio require at least 30 days advance notice.
Due to our health permit, animals are not allowed. However, if you have a legitimate service animal, it is at our discretion to allow them to enter. Keep in mind if your animal is disrupting the class, we will ask you to leave.
Signing up is easy. Click on the "Event Calendar" link near the top of the page to view our calendar. Select the painting you would like to paint and click "Add to Cart." Follow the on-screen directions to complete the order. Or call the studio and we will be happy to take your reservation over the phone. You can also stop by the studio during our operating hours and make your reservation with our Studio Host.
Yes, we have assigned seating for all of our public classes. This ensures that there will be space for your entire party to sit together. Your easel and supplies will be set up for you at your personalized spot before you arrive for class. Let us know if you have other friends attending when you make your reservation by clicking on the "Edit Painter Details" button so we can sit you together. Private Parties do not have assigned seating.
There is not a bad seat in the house because we have an 75" TV to show the artists every brush stroke. However, if you have a favorite spot, simply list it in your reservation. If there are multiple requests for a certain spot, Pinot Perks members will have priority.
It is easier than you might imagine because our artist guides you step-by-step through the painting and provides tips and tricks to help you create your masterpiece. Our mission statement is to bring art to the masses – even I can do it!
We recommend you arrive approximately 20 minutes before class to beat the rush at the bar, get settled in and socialize with your friends before the class begins.
Paintings are always scheduled at least 5 weeks out. The next full month's calendar is published around the 10th of the current month. If you would like to be notified when the full calendar is published, be sure and sign up for our newsletter.
We provide aprons to protect your clothing but accidents do happen and acrylic paint does not wash out of clothing. That said, dress up or dress down - there is no dress code here at Pinot's Palette.
