Class Details
The great French artist, Claude Monet, was responsible for introducing the idea of impression to the art movement of those who painted what they perceived at a certain point in time. Impressionists paint colors perceived with natural light, with little importance given to details. Shapes are formed by how the colors of the scene are detected, forming pictures naturally.

Master Impressionist, Claude Monet, lamented, "People discuss my art and pretend to understand as if it were necessary to understand, when it's simply necessary to love." At Pinot's Palette, we have a series of master studies, where we have simplified versions or reinterpretations of the work of the Masters. These paintings give the non-artist the opportunity to walk in the footsteps of greatness and create something that emulates the work of the Masters. It is not necessary to understand how the process works, its only necessary to love and live in the moment. Join us at Pinot's Palette this Friday, March 29 for Monet's Impression, Sunrise.

Q) How do I sign up for a class?
Click the "Event Calendar" link above. This will display our current Class schedule. Select which painting you would like to paint and click on it. Enter the number of seats you'd like and click "Add to Cart." Follow directions to complete the order. Contact us if you have trouble completing your order and we will walk you through the process.

Q) What days are classes held?
Classes are held on Tuesdays, Wed., Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings and Saturday and Sunday afternoons!. We occasionally have classes on other nights during the week as well as on Saturday and Sunday afternoons- view our class calendar to find out more!

Q) What time should I arrive to my class?
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the start time of your class. This will allow you time to get settled and mingle before the painting starts. We do start our classes on time at the Princeton Studio!

Q) I can't even draw a straight line...will I be able to do this and complete the painting?
Absolutely! Most guests have never painted a day in their life or at least since they were in pre-school. Our artist will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will ensure that you stay on track to completing your masterpiece by the end of class. There are no mistakes, but Acrylic paint dries quickly, making mistakes easy to fix and perfect

Q) Is there an age limit for the regularly scheduled public classes?
Yes, we are a BYOB art entertainment studio. We do have kid specific classes or family days for kids ages 8-14 (check out our monthly calendar). The regular public classes have the following requirements: -18 years old and up -15-17 years old with an adult. And no babies in any classes.
