Reservations must be made online in advance of classes. Click on “Public Events” at the top of the page to see our calendar and browse through the upcoming painting sessions. When you see one you like you can either click “Book Now” directly from the calendar page, or check out “Class Details” first and register from there. Follow the on-screen directions to complete your order.
Can I book a private party?
Absolutely! Pinot’s Palette Mississauga is the perfect place to celebrate with friends, family or colleagues. Private parties can choose their own painting, making it easy to create an experience that matches your celebration, theme or group. We host kids’ parties, birthday parties, corporate events, bachelorette parties and team-building events. Private parties receive their own dedicated space and can be customized with your choice of painting. Our Pastel Party Room can accommodate up to 16 guests, while our Main Studio can accommodate up to 48 guests, making us a great fit for both intimate celebrations and larger group events.
What is the cancellation policy?
We do not offer refunds. If you’d like to reschedule your reservation we can issue a credit that can be used to book a different class. Short-notice requests made within 72h of class time are subject to a fee of $10 + tax per person, and the credit must be used within 60 days. 2h before class start all reservations are locked in and can no longer be changed.
What days are classes held?
We hold public classes most evenings and weekend afternoons, but this can be affected by private bookings. Visit our Public Events calendar to see exact dates. Private events can be booked any time!
How long does a painting event take?
Most paint-and-sip experiences are 2 hours. Some events can last up to 3 hours depending on the event and painting,
When do I need to arrive for the class?
Our bar will be open 30 minutes before class time - we recommend coming early to settle in and get a drink. If you’re running a little late it’s okay, but keep in mind that the more you miss the harder it will be to catch up. The artists will help you where they can, but we can’t guarantee that they’ll have time to explain everything again (or how soon they’ll be able to get back to the bar!)
Do I need to book an event in advanace, or can I walk in?
No – we’re only open for scheduled classes, which you can browse on our event calendar. Reservations are required and can be made online. If you’re looking for a less structured painting experience we recommend coming to one of our Open Studio sessions!
Is seating assigned?
Yes, we set up a seating plan in advance to make sure all groups have space to sit together. If you book several spots in one order we’ll place you together automatically. If you’d like to sit with friends who made their own reservations, just note their names under “Seating Requests” when you check out! You can also note other accommodations and preferences here, such as mobility concerns, left-handedness, and whether you’d like to be near the front or back. If plans change feel free to email us at mississauga@pinotspalette.com to update seating requests before your class.
What should I bring?
We provide everything you need to paint! If you’d like to have some drinks you’ll need a method of payment for our bar, as well as your ID if you’re on the younger side. We accept cash and card (including AMEX and Apple Wallet), and all payments must be in Canadian dollars. Some other fun things you might like to have with you include snacks, a camera, and a friend!
What should I wear?
Whatever you like! We provide aprons to help protect your clothes from paint – it does stain, so you may not want to risk your favourite outfit. Long, dangling sleeves are in the most danger, so we recommend sleeves that are short or can be rolled up.
Can I bring my own wine or alcohol?
Outside beverages are NOT allowed, alcoholic or otherwise. You can buy drinks from our bar throughout your class.
I don't have any artistic talent, will I be able to do the painting?
Absolutely! All of our classes are beginner-friendly, and our artists will walk you through the painting step by step. Acrylic paint dries quickly and can be layered almost endlessly, so it’s easy to try again if you don’t like something. Almost everyone comes away from our classes pleasantly surprised by what they accomplished!
Do I have to follow the instructions?
No! Our artists are here to show you how to recreate the class painting if you so choose, but ultimately your painting is for YOU and we encourage you to do whatever you want. Change the colours, add things in, go full abstract.. we want you to be happy with your art. You will not be graded!
Does the paint stain?
Yes! It will wash off of your skin, but it won’t come out of fabric once dry (after all, it’s designed to stick to canvas). If you catch it right away we can try to get it out with some oil soap, but we can’t make any promises.
