Fun Ways to Relax
Fun Ways to Relax After WorkWe are live in a super busy world where we find it near impossible to unplug and unwind but we all need it to be a happy, healthier version of ourselves. Below is the list of ways I learn to let it go, as often as my type A personality will let me!
1. Music
Of course music is number one. It's number one on a lot of lists but you have to do it the right way. Start as soon as you get in the car in your work parking lot, throw the phone in the backseat and crack up the tunes, man! Do not check that phone, do not check the clock just coast along rockin out! It's been shown that all music relaxes you and if you want to listen to studies maybe switch on over to the AM channel and hit up some classical music, I haven't managed to get that desp...I mean stressed enough yet to do so but hey to each their own!
2. Dance
You cannot have music without feeling your toes tapping and busting out in an all out dance battle at the red light with the octogenarian next to you! Dance is an outlet for emotional expression, stress reduction, and generally having a good time. If someone doesn't dance they are possibly an alien and you shouldn't trust them, just saying.
3. Exercise
I know what you are thinking, the heading said FUN ways to relieve stress. Well let me tell you there is nothing that is more fun than shaking your groove thing in a Zumba class! It combines all of my top three ways to relieve stress, and allows you to grab that burritos on the way home because you generally burn 600ish calories after a full hour. Peeps better watch themselves next weekend at da club after you've been to a Zumba class because you know you have picked up some killer moves!
4. Paint
Well imagine that, I have just the place where you can do this! Ever heard of this little place called Pinot's Palette well it's sorta awesome (I am not biased or anything, promise) Not only can yo paint your own master piece like Bob Ross, you can listen to great music, and grab a little of the next item on my list.....
5. Wine
That's right wine (in moderation) is a great way to relax. Curl up in your favorite sweats, with a nice glass, and a book and you will be asleep in minutes you are so relaxed. Not only does it help relax you it has many health benefits to include being heart healthy, help you lose weight, reduce forgetfulness, boost your immunity. Of course all of this in is moderation, as all things in life be smart and sensible, and a glass doesn't translate into a bottle!
