Staff Spotlight: Josh Dunbar
If you've been to paint with us on more than one occasion, chances are you've been one of many lucky guests to meet our phenomenal artist, Josh Dunbar. It's easy to tell from an encounter with Josh that he's a highly skilled individual, a man always willing to help, and someone who's great with putting the worry to rest and letting the art flow effortlessly.
What many of you may not know, is just how much of a role Josh has played in Pinot's Palette nationwide. Josh is single-handedly responsible for a whopping 132 paintings in our library of masterpieces. Here at Pinot's, our artists create the paintings that go on our calendars every month, and there's no other artist who has contributed as much as he has- and here's some numbers to back it up.
In total, his artwork has been taught...wait for it... 7,716 times! Almost 8 thousand classes across the United States have featured his stunning work! When he's not churning out painting after painting for us, Josh enjoys creating art through various forms of media-but his illustrations with copic markers are out of this world. (Take a look, Instagram user @j2dstar) When he's not paying homage to his favorite classic shows and video games through sketches and vibrant bursts of color, you can find him whipping up a delicious dish or cuddling with his sweet pup, Chuch.
Our team has been incredibly blessed to have this sweet sage around through the past 5 years, and the time has come for Mr. Dunbar to share his talent with the west coast as he continues his career in Hollywood. We always knew he was destined for greatness and could not be more happy for Josh in this endeavor! To say he will be sorely missed...quite the understatement. He's been a mentor to our whole team for so long, even before we granted him the title of Artist Mentor or recipient of the Golden Brush award. Josh has been blazing the trail for others to follow from the moment he walked through our doors, so much so that we had to create a new position for him as he exceeded every single goal that we challenged him with.
If you happen to stop by the Cherry Street studio this weekend, he'll be teaching his last classes with us on Saturday. We wish Josh the absolute best and can't wait to see him follow his dreams!
