Raise your hand if you had NO IDEA that Oklahoma had a specific wine grape. Anybody??Each country in the United States produces wine of some kind. This is a pretty diverse chart!

In our own backyard there are, “Rubaiyat is a teinturier grape (red skins and flesh) that has shown potential for success in Oklahoma (even if Chambourcin is more planted). Oklahoma State University’s Viticulture and Enology program is helping viticulturists figure out the best wine grape species and cultivars for Oklahoma’s climate.”
Should we try one at Pinot’s Palette some time?
