Frequently Asked Questions
What is the cancellation policy?
Due to the custom nature of ALL our classes, NO REFUNDS will be issued for reservations. However, if you cancel with more than 48 hours notice to your class, your payment will be turned into a gift certificate that can be used for a future class. If you cancel with less than 48 hours but more than 24 hours notice, you will be allowed to transfer to another class that we have posted on our calendar. If it is less than 24 hours notice, loss of reservation will occur.
What does a class cost?
The Average Public Event: 2 hour long painting costs $38 per person and 3 hour long paintings cost $48 per person.
How do I sign up for a class?
Go to "Event Calendar" at the top of the page to view our public class options. Click on whichever painting peaks your interest and select "Add painting to cart". Fill in the needed information to complete your order. We are just a call or email away if you need any assistance.
What is included within a class purchase?
You will be supplied with everything needed for that painting. (Aprons, brushes, paints and canvas) We do supply other accommodations such as glassware, bottle openers, paper plates and plastic utensils.
Is there an age requirement for public classes?
Yes. We do offer Family and Kids classes on Saturdays or Sundays which allow young painters. However, being a licensed bar we require 18 and above for our evening classes. (age 10-17 with adult)
When should I arrive for the class?
Class will start promptly at the scheduled time. Please feel free to come 30 minutes before to find your seats, grab an apron, or relax with a beverage before we get started.
What is your pricing for children's private parties?
Private parties scheduled for children age 16 and under are $30 per painter with a minimum of 10 painters or a flat rate of $300 for less than 10 painters.
What are your private party requirements and costs?
The date and time is completely up to you as long as we have availability. An initial $120 deposit is need to book but is fully refunded once met with our 10 person minimum in the Plaza Room or 19 person minimum in the Main Room. If a party fails to meet the required minimums deductions will be made from the deposit for the remaining amount due. Per person the cost is $40 for a 2 hour event and $45 for a 3 hour event.
Are there discounts for larger groups?
We are currently not offering discounts for larger groups.
Do Private Parties get more time to party?
Yes! Private events reserve you the room 30 minutes before and after the painting portion! However, because we book multiple events each day this timing is very important. Keep in mind that for extra time used fees will acquire, beginning at $75 for the first additional 30 minutes used.
Is there alcohol provided?
No, alcohol is not included in the price of the painting registration. We welcome guests (21+) to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages in responsible manner. We have a BAR where guests may purchase wine or you may BYOB.
Why can we not take home our open bottle of wine?
Once the original seal is broken on your alcoholic beverage it becomes illegal for a licensed bar to allow it off the premises. Restaurant-Bars and Wineries fall into a different clause which allows them to send wine home in special bags. We are neither and therefore that loophole does not apply. Drink it or leave it please!
Inclement Weather
We take the safety of our guests and staff very seriously. We will monitor the local weather stations as well as local MODOT road updates. We will make every attempt to keep the class as scheduled. In the event that we must cancel, we will send out a cancelation notice via email 3 hours prior to the event. If we cancel any class you will be issued a credit to our studio for a future class. If the class continues as scheduled and you choose not to attend you will be offered a virtual take home kit. *note not all paintings are available virtually so you may have to choose a different painting.
What are your hours of operation?
Our studio is only open during scheduled events. Typically Wednesday-Friday 7-9pm, Saturday 3-9pm and Sunday 2-4pm
How do I cancel my class?
All sales are final and we have a 24 hour no cancellation policy. If this is prior to 24 hours before your class you can email briarcliff@pinotspalette.com to transfer or receive credit for a future class.
Do you offer kid classes?
We do! We offer private events for kids as well as a Family Day where we encourage the whole family to paint! Typically Sundays from 2-4pm.
Can I come if I'm not painting?
Due to limited seating we require all guests to have a paid reservation.
Is it BYOB? Can I bring food?
Yes and yes. We have a wine bar with a variety of wine selections but you may bring any food or beverage that you prefer.
You have two paintings scheduled at the same time. Can I paint one painting and my friend paint the other and can we sit together?
