What is paint and sip?

Paint and Sip events combine social drinking with painting. Our paint and sip studio is a Bar and BYO. Everyone gets a canvas and follows an artist's instructions to recreate the featured painting on their own canvas. Paint and sip is not a serious art course-it's about socializing and having fun.

Can I get a discount?

Can I just come in and paint whenever?

No, our studio is only open during scheduled events. However, we do offer some open studio hours. Check our calendar for Open Studio events.

Do I have to paint the exact painting?

Not at all. Most people paint the featured painting. If you want to paint something entirely different, go for it! We just want you to have fun.

What does the cost include?

The cost includes all the art supplies you'll need and 2-3 hours of painting instruction from an artist.

I want to register, but not pay in advance.

Payment is required at the time of registration to guarantee a seat. We do welcome walk ins! To reserve a seat, we will need payment online or over the phone to ensure we can accommodate your seating request.

How do I pay in cash?

When you purchase items in-studio, like frames or wine glasses, you can pay with cash. You must use a credit or debit card to reserve a seat for a class. Advance registration is required.

What is open studio?

At Open Studio events, you get all the supplies needed to paint, but there is no featured painting. You can choose an image from our painting library, or paint whatever you want. There's no formal instruction, but artists are on hand to help.

Can I bring my baby?

No. Babies and small children are a distraction for other guests and make it hard to hear the artist's instructions. Most studios won't be able to accommodate a stroller or car seat next to your seat.

Where do we send our project pet photos?

Can we bring drinks?

Beer and wine will be available for purchase at the bar, or you may BYOB. Must be 21 to purchase, byob, or consume alcohol. Bottled water is complimentary.

How do I register a group?

On the event page, select the number of people you want to add in the box next to the Register button. If you want to host a private paint and sip party, get in touch with us at 816-598-0598 or bluesprings@pinotspalette.com

What are your studio hours?

Our studios are only open during scheduled events.

This is my first time; what should I expect?

Expect a relaxed, fun atmosphere- there's no pressure to be Van Gogh! We provide everything, including aprons to protect your clothes and a paint-free space for your purse or coat.

Do I need to know anything about art?

Not at all. Our artists provide easy, step-by-step instructions to help everyone produce a great finished product.

Is there an age requirement?

Public studio events are 18+. Children 10+ are permitted if accompanied by a paid adult (one adult per minor). Little brushes events, Private parties and Mobile events have no age restrictions.

Cancellation policy

Due to the custom nature of our classes, NO REFUNDS will be issued. If notification of cancellation occurs at least 48 hours prior to the start of class, a credit for a future class will be given. You also have the option to transfer the reservation to another class. If notification is given between 48 to 24 hours prior to the start of the start of class, the reservation can be transferred to another class, but no credit will be given. Loss of payment will occur if no notification of cancellation occurs or if notification occurs less than 24 hours prior to the start of class. Within 24 hours of class NO CREDITS OR RESCHEDULES will occur.

Can I show up late?

Painting starts promptly, so you'll have to catch up on your own if you arrive late.

What is a Date Night painting?

You and your date will paint separate canvases; when placed together, your canvases will match up to create one picture.

Can we bring food?

Absolutely. We recommend finger foods, just to make it easy.

How do I sign up for a class?

Signing up is easy. Click the "Event Calendar" to view our calendar of painting parties. Select which event you would like to attend and click"Register Now." Follow the on-screen directions to complete the order. Contact us if you have trouble completing your order and we will walk you through the process.

Do you allow walk-ins?

Yes, for the vast majority of classes we have room for walk ins. We have a large studio and can almost always accommodate last minute guests. For groups of more than two, we highly recommend paying in advance to ensure seating together.

Inclement Weather

We take the safety of our guests and staff very seriously. We will monitor the local weather stations as well as local MODOT road updates. We will make every attempt to keep the class as scheduled. In the event that we must cancel, we will send out a cancelation notice via email 3 hours prior to the event. If we cancel any class you will be issued a credit to our studio for a future class. If the class continues as scheduled and you choose not to attend you will be offered a virtual take home kit. *note not all paintings are available virtually so you may have to choose a different painting.

Can I reschedule?

Yes, keep in mind we have a 24 hour no cancellation policy. If this is prior to the 24 hours please email bluesprings@pinotspalette.com and indicate the class you would like to transfer to.

What are your hours of operation?

Our studio is open during painting events only. Typically Wednesday-Friday 7-9pm, Saturday 2-9pm and Sunday 2-4pm

Does your studio mandate masks?

Masks are encouraged but our city and county does not currently have a mask mandate.

When and Where do I pick up my kits for Paint at Home?

This studio is not yet offering paint at home but keep an eye on our newsletters and social media because we hope to add this soon!

How do I cancel my class?

All Sales Are Final and we have a 24 hour no cancellation policy. If this is prior to 24 hours before you class you can email bluesprings@pinotspalette.com to transfer your class or receive credit for a future class.

Do you offer kid classes?

We do! We offer private parties for kids as well as Family Day classes where we encourage the whole family to paint together! Typically Sunday's from 2-4pm.

Can I come if I'm not painting?

Due to limited seating we require all guests to have a paid reservation.

Is it BYOB? Can I bring food?

Yes and Yes! We have a Bar serving beer, wine, soda, coffee and snacks but you are welcome to bring any food or beverage.

You have two paintings scheduled at the same time. Can I paint one and my friend paint the other and can we still sit together?

No, each painting is in a separate room with a separate instructor.
