What is Pinot's Palette?
Pinot's Palette is Appleton's premiere paint and sip destination. We have an upscale studio with 2 rooms that can hold up to 64 painters at once. You come to us for an entertaining evening where you create a painted masterpiece and memories with your friends and family. Pinot's Palette is truly the place to Paint. Drink. Have Fun.
How do I register for a class?
Signing up is easy! Go to www.PinotsPalette.com/Appleton and select Event Calendar. Click on the class/painting event you want to attend and register by using the on-screen directions. If you have any questions or would like assistance from a staff member, please call us at 920-358-7913
What days are public classes held?
Classes may be held on any day of the week but in general, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. We also like to offer classes on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. View the class calendar for all of our classes.
How much does it cost?
Our public classes cost $35/painter for a 2 hour painting or $45/painter for a 3 hour painting. *Please note that this price does NOT include beverages purchased from the bar
When do I need to arrive for a class?
We open our doors 30 minutes prior to the scheduled class time. We recommend arriving no later than 10 minutes prior to a class start time.
What is the cancellation policy?
Pinot's Palette Regular Public Class* Cancellation Policy is as follows: A full refund can occur if notification of cancellation occurs at least 48 hours before class starts. You also have the option to put your reservation on hold for a later date or transfer the reservation to another class. Between 48-24 hours prior to class, we can put your reservation on hold or issue you a class credit. Loss of payment/credit will occur if no notification of cancellation occurs or if notification occurs less than 24 hours prior to class start. This cancellation policy applies to parties of 2 or less. For cancellation of a party of three or more, a minimum of one week's notice is required for a refund or to reschedule *Certain events, such as Project Pet and Little Brushes have special cancellation policies. Please refer to class description for specialized cancellation policies..
Is there reserved seating?
Yep! Once you register for a class, we will have your easel reserved. If you have friends attending the class with you, please note this in your reservation and we will do our best to seat you all together.
What should I wear?
No dress code here....dress up or dress casual! We will provide you with an apron while you paint. On occasion, our guests have taken home paint on their clothes as a souvenir. We use acrylic paints and they do become permanent on clothing if not caught and cleaned quickly.
Is there an age requirement?
Yes - 13-17 are allowed at any public class with an accompanying adult. For 12 and younger, we have specific Family Days, Kid's Classes and Open Studio. 21+ with proper ID to purchase alcohol.
What should I bring?
We provide the canvas, easel, brushes, paints, and apron for the class. We have a bar where you can purchase beer, wine and non-alcholic beverages. You are welcome to bring your own snacks or appetizers if you like. We do have light snacks available for purchase as well.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
Sorry folks - Appleton City Law does not allow for BYOB. All alcohol must be purchased at our bar. *Please note that all beverage purchased are in addition to the class price for each event.
Where are we located?
We are on the East side of College Avenue just a couple blocks from Lawrence University. Located in between Durkee Street and Morrison Street, right next door to The Fire pottery studio.
Can I bring my own food?
Sure thing! Feel free to bring in any food items you'd like to enjoy. We provide disposable plates, plasticware and napkins for your convenience. You may also choose to arrange for catering if you are hosting a private party at our studio.
When does the next painting calendar get posted?
We try to post the next month's calendar around the 15th of the month. If you'd like to receive an email each month when our new calendar is posted, be sure to add yourself to our email list.
Is Pinot's Palette - Appleton locally owned?
Yes - Pinot's Palette is a national franchise. However, each location including Appleton is locally owned and operated.
Does Pinot's Palette - Appleton host fundraisers?

I don't have any artistic talent. Will I be able to complete the painting?
Absolutely! Our local artists will guide you step-by-step through the featured painting and will ensure that you stay on track to completing your masterpiece by the end of class. There are no mistakes, but Acrylic paint dries quickly, making mistakes easy to fix and perfect.
Can a Non-Painting guest attend class?
All guests must be registered and have paid for a seat in our classes. Our occupancy limits set by the Appleton Fire Department are monitored and we could lose our operating permits if we have more people than what we are allowed.
