Little Brushes: Summer Camp!

Week 1- Beginning Drawing - Line & Structure

Have a teen ages 13-18 who’s taken a serious interest in creating? In this virtual, crash course to visual image making, we will begin our studies this week with an introduction to drawing. We will gain essential knowledge on visual perception and a brief look at the history of drawing and its many applications. We will explore line and structure, learn to compose and balance out our drawings, and exploit creative impulse. A committed attitude and willingness to experiment will be paramount in this course.

LIVE INTERACTIVE VIRTUAL CLASS. THIS OPTION INCLUDES ALL OF YOUR ART MATERIALS FOR PICK UP AT THE STUDIO. This class will not be held in the studio.

THIS IS A WEEK LONG CLASS WITH 1.5 HOUR INSTRUCTION PER DAY (MONDAY-FRIDAY) 06-15-2020 THRU 06-19-20.

MON - Intro to Sighting (How to see)
TUES - Organizational Line Drawing
WED - Basic Composition
THUR - Contour Drawing
FRI - Gesture Drawing

You will receive a supply kit that includes everything you will need for the entire week, such as specific worksheets, reference material, a folder, newsprint, chalk pastel, charcoal pencils, erasers, tape, safety scissors, plastic film, pens, construction paper and an emailed link to join the live interactive class from home!

Please note that this specific week's focus is on drawing, not painting. There will be more crash courses to come, each week being different, some of which will entail painting, as well as other mediums, such as charcoal, pastels, etc..

This Take-Home art kit is available for pick up Monday - Saturday 11:00-4:00 PM. *Kits will be ready for pick up the week before camp. Last day to register is the Saturday before camp at 2:00 PM.

If you experience technical issues during the live class or are unable to attend, a recording of the class will be available for 4 days following the event.

  • Paint at Home

    We now offer Paint at Home with video instruction and written instruction. Pick up your kits at the studio Wednesday-Saturday 12:00-4:00 PM. Please note if you place an order Sunday - Tuesday we are closed, the order will be processed Wednesday morning. https://www.pinotspalette.com/livermore/paint-at-home

  • Do you offer virtual private events?

    Yes, we do! These events are fun and great for birthdays and corporate team building. Supplies are included and we ship world wide. Your friends, family and team members don't have to miss the celebrations anymore!

  • Is alcohol included or can I bring my own?

    California liquor laws do not allow us to include alcohol with the painting class fee. We support our Livermore wineries and breweries by serving only local, mixed drinks, non-alcoholic beverages. No outside beverages (including water) are allowed. Don't forget your ID!

  • Can we bring food?

  • What is the cancellation policy?

    ALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL! If you cancel with at least 48 hours notice your payment will be turned into a store credit (good for 60 days) that can only be used for a future class. This store credit CAN NOT be extended after the 60 days. Please email us at livermore@pinotspalette.com to cancel 48 hours before the event. No shows or less than 48 hour cancellations forfeit your tickets. Tickets are transferable. If you cannot come, send someone in your place and let us know about the change at the door. By signing up for class, you agree to this policy. Please note: If a public class does not reach a minimum of 4 painters, 4 hours before class it MAY be cancelled.
