This is a specialty event. National and Pinot Perks™ discounts cannot be applied for this event.

Paint a portrait of your pet at Project Pet. Once you sign up for the painting, email us a high quality digital photo of your pet (one pet per canvas, please) and we will do the rest. Each photo will be transferred onto a 16”X20” canvas. Our talented artists will walk you through the steps to create your very own Pet Portrait!

Sign up deadline for this class is May 21st. Please send in your pet photos by this date as well to: leawood@pinotspalette.com after you register. Thank you!

Pinot’s Palette is a pioneer of the paint and sip experience – a revolutionary way to enjoy art and wine, meet new people and bond with friends. Guests enjoy a no-experience-required art class—all supplies included—instructed by trained, local artists, who guide guests step-by-step through a featured painting.

Due to the extra expense for Project Pet- No Discounts or complementary/donated gift certificates on Project Pet. Thank you.

Your pet photo should showcase your animal and reflect unobstructed views of your pet. 300dpi works best.
Here are some tips for success:
a) 1 pet per person/per photo
b) Highest resolution possible
c) Pet is clear and in the foreground with no furniture, objects, grass, etc. blocking any body parts
d) Pet is centered in the photo either FULL BODY or HEAD SHOT, with no cropped off parts.
e) Our best advice is to take a photo of your pet with the best camera you have outside during the day, under a shaded area (like your front porch, back patio, or inside near a window).
f) Remember, the better your photo is, the easier the painting process will be.

The more the merrier, INVITE YOUR FRIENDS!

Frequently Asked Questions

Check out our FAQs to learn more about what to expect from your Pinot's Palette experience or feel free to call the studio to speak to a member of our staff.

  • What is your capacity for your public classes?

IMPORTANT CLASS INFORMATION: For your continued safety and comfort, class sizes are being limited to 90% capacity. (This allows for 60 seats in our main room and up to 30 seats in our party room.) If you purchase multiple seats in your reservation or request to sit with someone in the seating requests, you will be seated together with your group. Due to the limited seating, all guests must have a reservation to enter the studio. Masks are no longer required to be worn in the studio, however we recommend mask wearing if you are not fully vaccinated. PLEASE NOTE: We have acrylic dividers available if you wish to have additional separation between you and other guests. Please ask or note in your reservation if you would like to have an acrylic divider available to you.

  • Is there an age limit for the regular public class?

Yes, we are a BYOB art entertainment studio. We do have kid’s specific classes, but the normal public classes have the following requirements: 11 to 17 years old with an adult -18 years old and up. No children under the age of 11 are able to attend a class, with or without a reservation. Any of our morning or afternoon classes are ages 5 and older with adult supervision. In all of our classes, with the exception of little brushes classes, a reservation is required for all attendees to attend.

  • How do I sign up for a public class?

Signing up is easy. Click the "Event Calendar" link at the top of the page to view our calendar of paintings. Select which painting you would like to paint and click "Add Painting to Cart." Follow the on-screen directions to complete the order. Contact us at 913.451.7466 or email at leawood@pinotspalette.com if you have trouble completing your order and we will walk you through the process.

  • What does a class cost?

Our two-hour public classes are typically $38 per painter and our three-hour public classes are $45 per painter. Please note that we also offer specialty classes as well as fundraisers, alternate pricing may be applicable.

  • What are the best times to reach the studio with questions, changes in reservations, party information, etc?

The best time to reach a studio manager is Monday through Friday 11am until 5 pm. Unfortunately, we are unable to answer phones during class times. You are welcome to leave a message and a studio manager will reach out the next morning after 11am.
